What is solar power?

Solar panels convert the energy from sunlight into direct current (DC) electrical energy. An inverter unit then changes this into alternating current (AC) for your home’s electrical circuits. This power can then be used to power your home, stored in a battery for later or fed back into the grid to offset your energy bills.

Not only do you save the environment but you save on paying money to energy providers.

Why should I invest in solar?

Protect yourself against rising energy prices and produce energy that is better for the environment. By using the energy created from the sun, you reduce reliance on energy providers for energy, and may even be eligible for credits on your bill when you feed power back into the network.

As the Solar PV industry has matured, the cost of Solar Panels has reduced dramatically – compare that to the rising cost of electricity! Solar Power is also one of the cleanest forms of renewable energy available and reduces our dependence on fossil fuels.

How does it save you money?

By installing a Solar PV System you can expect significant energy cost savings.

A Solar Tactics Solar PV System installation will reduce the need to purchase energy from retailers, protect against future price rises, store unused power for later or feed any excess energy back into the grid and access government incentives such as feed-in-tariffs.

As each solar system is custom-built, savings will vary, but be confident that a Solar Tactics Solar PV System will keep your payback period as short as possible. Solar Tactics will design your Solar PV system using state-of-the-art software to achieve a positive return on investment to suit your budget and power consumption needs.

Does a bigger system mean more savings on my energy bill?

Not necessarily. Savings depend on the quality and output of the PV panels, the orientation and size of your roof and how much power you use during the day. It is important to match your system to your consumption pattern. If you don’t consume much energy during the day then a smaller system may give better results. If you do use a large amount of power during the day, a bigger system will be more suitable.

How much will I save?

Individual saving results will vary, depending on many factors that are unique to every customer and scenario. Solar Tactics designs your Solar PV System using state-of-the-art software. With an aim to deliver a positive return on your investment, that will not only suit your budget and your power consumption needs, but also keep your payback period to a minimum.

How much will my Solar PV System cost?

The price of your Solar PV System is calculated by a range of factors including government incentives and support schemes, type and number of panels, the brand and material quality, type and size of inverter, the height, composition and accessibility of the roof. Should I use battery storage or feed excess energy back to the grid?

It depends on your budget, the size of your system and how much energy you produce and use. Solar Tactics will optimise your Solar PV System to deliver you the best value and performance.

What is a Feed in Tariff?

A feed-in-tariff is the rate paid for electricity generated by your Solar PV system that you export back to the grid rather than consuming. We use Clean Energy Council Australia accredited installers, so your Solar PV installation may be eligible for a feed-in tariff. We will calculate the potential savings you can make by exporting back to the grid.

What is a Small-scale Technology Certificate?

Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) are a government incentive to reduce the upfront cost of your Solar PV system. The total level of subsidy depends on the location and size of the solar PV system and the price of STCs at the time of installation. As we use Clean Energy Council Australia accredited installers, your Solar PV installation may be eligible for government rebates such as Small-scale Technology Certificates.

All our installs come with a 10 year workmanship warranty for your peace of mind. If you have an existing system, we can also add extra panels, upgrade your existing panels or inverters and install additional monitoring systems.
